Keto Shot | What Alcohol Can You Drink?

The biggest thing about the Keto diet is just to remember to drink very few carbs and very few sugars. So, we’ve come up with a compilation of different kinds of alcohol you can drink on the keto diet, including a Keto Shot or two.

  1. Wine & Champagne: Wine and champagnes generally have very few carbs to them. When you’re following a keto diet, these are going to be good options for you. It’s a good idea to try to stick to dryer wines as well because they have less sugar. Be sure to watch what the labels say, but generally, you’re good with Wine & Champagne.
  2. Whiskey: Drinking straight whiskey can be challenging, but if you’re one of those people who can do it, kudos to you! You’ll be fine drinking whiskey while following keto because it has zero carbs in it. If you can’t drink it straight, consider something that is not full of sugar to add to it.
  3. Vodka: Again, vodka has zero carbs! That’s a little easier than shooting straight whiskey, but you also probably don’t want to shoot straight vodka. We have seen that drinking vodka with soda water and a lime is a good alternative.
  4. Tequila Shot: Here’s the first Keto Shot we promised! Who doesn’t love a good tequila shot? And the best part? It is zero carbs as well! So, while being safe, feel free to take those shots!
  5. Dry Martini: This is a great option if you want to look oh so classy. You can drink this while following your guidelines, and we bet your friends will be impressed to hear you order that one!

This is a good list of general alcohol that you can drink while following keto, and we even got one of those Keto Shots in there! A little note to remember: when you’re in ketosis you will need significantly less alcohol to get drunk. So, just be safe!
